Petra by Renie is an original contemporary collection of extraordinary hand- crafted sterling gemstone jewelry. These artisan-created pieces are elegant in design. Petra by Renie's distinctive jewelry features enchanting colored gemstones and uniquely feminine handcrafted designs. Each piece is constructed by wrapping fine gauge sterling or gold wire with handcut semiprecious gemstones into sculptural forms. This technique is a time-consuming and labor-intensive process, which results in the designer's sophisticated one-of-a-kind creations. Always known for her keen sense of style and an artist's eye for color, design and beauty, Renie has pursued her interest in jewelry-making since childhood. The demand for her designs escalated among friends and followers, and Petra by Renie was developed. Educated in art and design at Dickinson College, the University of London and Lehigh University, Renie finds her inspiration from the 'petra' (rocks) she collects from all over the world, nature's palette, ancient Greek jewelry traditions and her rich Aegean heritage.
